You must be aged 21–80 and hold an open driver’s license to hire a Cheapie car. Our insurance policy means we can’t rent to anyone aged under 21 or over 80.
kilometres will be tallied when you return your car and charged at 20 cents per kilometre.
For context, driving from a central Gold Coast suburb like Surfers Paradise to a Gold Coast hinterland location like Mount Tamborine and back again would use around 80 kilometres. In other words: unless you’re doing a lot of driving, you shouldn’t exceed 600 kilometres per week.
